MobileBits, a Sarasota mobile technology company, plans to add 40 jobs and expand its Sarasota facility by 2,000 square feet. President and CEO Walter Kostiuk says the company chose to expand in Sarasota County because of the area’s “superior active lifestyle at a much lower cost of living.” The public company, which Kostiuk founded in 2010, also stands to earn $120,000 in incentives if it creates the anticipated 40 jobs over the next three years. MobileBits’ SAMY marketing app links merchants, retailers and brands with consumers. The app can be downloaded on a variety of devices, including Apple’s iPhone and Android-based smartphones from Samsung Galaxy, LG, HTC, Sony Ericsson and Motorola.
